Skill Builder Sampler

Hi everyone!

Just thought I'd let you know about another quilt along that I just found on the web starting June 17th...I think that I'm gonna have to join in on!

It's called the Skill Builder Sampler and can be found over at the Sewn blog by Leila.

A quilt along is a great idea for those of us that have little kids and have trouble getting out of the house....or even dressed for that matter!

Are you going to join me?

New Look...

Just incase you haven't noticed, I've gone with a new look and name for the blog.  A little more professional looking don't you think?  There is still some fine-tuning to go, but I am fairly happy with it thus far!

Now...if I could just work out how to centre the title image!

Sewing Up A Storm

Hi Everyone!  I'm back....twice in one week....that must be a record!

Anyway, I have spent the last week or sew busily sewing up a storm....just thought I'd show you what I have gotten up to....

For Mothers Day, I made up the 'Three Maids' pattern from Ric Rac for my Mummy Dearest.

It was lucky that I didn't catch up with Mum until Friday just gone....otherwise it would have just been the magazine subscription!  Thanks for a lovely and easy to follow pattern Jodie!

In the coming week my eldest is have a Space theme at daycare and all the children have been invited to bring something along....I couldn't think of anything for him to take so I turned to google and found a wonderful tutorial for a rocket softie over at sewgrown.

It was love at first sight when I gave it to him!

He's had a lovely time with it so far....hopefully it will be treasured for a long time to come!

Well, I'm of to feed the baby and then do some more sewing of his cot quilt!  Hope you have a great weekend!

Mod Times Quilt Along

Well just as I had thought that I had caught up with the Mod Times Quilt Along over at Twin Fibers, the next step was put up onto the website.

The project is to made a cot quilt called 'Mod Times'.  The picture below is the sample one from Jessica at Twin Fibers.

I have selected my fabrics....

And completed the first assembly stage....

.....creating all of the blocks.....now just to get them assembled!  I really hope that A enjoys this cot quilt for many years to come!

What have you been up to lately?  Any Quilt Alongs or swaps?  I would love to hear about them!

Cathy.
